understand the present | protect the future

Inspections that optimize infrastructure lifespans.

From specialized machinery to compact units mounted on amphibious vehicles, our experienced team is well-versed in important industry standards, including the National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO) Pipeline Assessment Certification Program (PACP). Our deep expertise ensures comprehensive inspections that span structural defects, inflow and infiltration, construction details, service laterals, and obstructions.

Insight into CCTV inspections.

CCTV inspections involve a remotely controlled camera affixed to a robotic crawler. This camera provides live footage to a video monitor, typically located in larger vehicles, like cargo vans or box trucks at the surface. Hydromax USA uses portable versions of these CCTV systems for areas that are hard to reach or require special access permissions (also known as easements). These compact units can be mounted onto specialized machinery designed for access easements or amphibious, all-terrain vehicles, providing versatility in various types of environments.

The majority of CCTV inspections follow the standards set by the National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO) Pipeline Assessment Certification Program (PACP), a recognized guide for inspecting and assessing sewer pipelines. In line with this, every Hydromax USA team member involved in CCTV operations, including operators and data analysts, has received PACP certification. This certification is provided by an accredited PACP trainer within Hydromax USA, ensuring that all staff are well-equipped and knowledgeable in these industry standards.

CCTV inspection’s essential functions.

The purpose of Closed-Circuit Television Inspection (CCTV) is to determine the:

  • location and PACP coding of structural defects
  • evidence of inflow and infiltration (I/I)
  • Identify the size and material of the construction
  • location of service laterals
  • location of obstructions, such as roots, grease, debris, and cross bores

Comprehensive sewer programs driven by data.

Hydromax USA has built a reputation for quality infrastructure condition assessment and maintenance programs that integrate field services, data, and technology resulting in meaningful, actionable business intelligence for our clients. Our programs optimize wastewater collection system performance and reliability, control inflow, infiltration, and SSOs, and prioritize pipeline renewal programs. Our experienced team has assessed millions of feet of collection system pipelines and provided information management services for utilities across the United States.
