HUSA Performs Water Studies Across Country

Posted on

HUSA recently performed three different types of studies on water distribution systems in three very different locations across the country. Inframetrix LLC hired HUSA for a leak survey and fire flow testing program at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX.  The services included listening, correlating, ground miking and leak pinpointing on 68 miles of mixed metallic and non-metallic, transmission, distribution, and service mains. Fire flow services included multiple hydrant flow sources at twenty residual hydrants.

Another project involved a focused water loss study of the Prichard, AL distribution system for Severn Trent Environmental Services.  The Phase I study components included: system supply master meter analysis, distribution system metering analysis, real and apparent loss analysis and 50-miles of distribution system leak survey.

HUSA was contracted by Johnson Controls, Inc. to determine potable water usage for each of the process facilities located within the Patapsco WWTP in Baltimore, MD. The scope of work included accuracy and sizing analysis of plant master meters, flow monitoring at all facilities, water balance development for sources and demands, and field checks and investigation to identify an anomalous demand.
