Large Diameter Pipe Tasks

Walking Large Diameter Sewers (>66”)
Walking large sewers is typically done to look for potential structural problems. Hydromax USA has designed a special harness to carry our camera so as to get the best pictures of these large pipes.

Sonar Inspections (>36”)
This process uses sound waves to define the shape and debris line of the sewer where water is in contact with the pipe in question. The information can be used find gross structural defects below the water line as well as the volume of debris.

Laser Inspection (>36”)
Laser inspections are typically used on larger diameter pipes to identify potential structural defects or when the exact dimensions of a dry pipe need to be measured. Literally hundreds of thousands of laser points are used to define the interior of the pipe. In either case this technology is used on pipes 36” and larger. Lasers can provide this information without the need of lighting the interior of the sewer. These laser points enable a three dimensional model of the sewer to be constructed.
