Hydro Scouring
To increase operational efficiency, Hydromax USA performs “Hydro-scouring” a line cleaning technique that has been used extensively in Europe and parts of the United States. The technique requires planning but when properly performed can provide cleaning velocities in excess of 10-feet per second. This increased velocity allows the cleaning of loose debris, films and some hard nodules throughout the pipe length. All valve seats and branches up to closed valves are also scoured. The equipment uses air compressors and micro filters to create a “pulsing” effect through the line. With this procedure, system pressures are not elevated over normal static pressures and since the pressures are maintained throughout the process the need for disinfection of the line following the cleaning may be eliminated.
The technique is being used for routine maintenance and in resolving problem areas with frequent customer color, odor or taste complaints.
